Day 1 Los Angeles/Delhi

Day 2 Delhi - Arrive Delhi in the evening.

Day 3 Delhi - Bagdogra - Peling - Fly to Bagdogra and drive to Peling. Stay for 2 nights in Peling.

Day 4 Peling - Morning tour of the Pemayangtse monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim and home to exquisite wall paintings and ancient religious idols. Afternoon visit to Rabdentse, the second capital of the ancient kingdom of Sikkim that was reduced to ruins by the invading Nepalese army in the 19th century.

Day 5 Peling - Rinchenpong - Morning drive to the village of Rinchenpong in West Sikkim. Set at an altitude of 5,500ft, Rinchenpong, a small, untouched Himalayan Village more popularly known as Silent valley, is an ideal base for those who like short hill treks.

Day 6 Rinchenpong - Gangtok - Drive to Gangtok via the Rumtek Monastery, the largest in Sikkim.

Day 7 Gangtok - Morning tour of Phodong Monastery. This afternoon, visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and the Do-Drul Chorten, an imposing white stupa.

Day 8 Gangtok - Kalimpong - Drive to the remote hill station of Kalimpong, set in beautiful wooded mountain scenery and once a key trade point between India, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet.

Day 9 Kalimpong - Phuntsholing - Drive from Kalimpong to the Bhutanese border town of Phuntsholing.
Day 10 Phuntsholing - Thimphu - Drive to Thimphu, through the scenic countryside of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

Day 11 Thimphu - Full day tour of the Bhutanese capital, including the Tashichhodzong, 'fortress of the glorious religion'.

Day 12 Thimphu - Punakha - Early morning drive to Dolchula Pass, where on a clear day you can see the highest peaks in Bhutan. Continue to Punakha. Afternoon visit the Punakha Dzong.

Day 13 Punakha - Paro - After breakfast drive to Paro, Evening visit to Paro market and town.

Day 14 Paro - In the morning visit Ta Dzong, formerly a watchtower but now housing the National Museum. Then walk down a hillside trail to visit Paro Dzong. In the afternoon, drive to Drukgyel Dzong or “the Fort of Drukpa Victory”.

Day 15 Paro - Rise up early in the morning to hike to the view point of Taktsang monastery.

Day 16 Paro - Delhi - Fly to Delhi.

Day 17 Delhi - Los Angeles
